Starting School in September 2019


Parents and carers are warmly invited to visit St Aelred's RC Primary School to look around the school and meet staff, including the headteacher: Ms Suzanne Ulyett.


To see the school in action, please come along to our open morning on WEDNESDAY 14 NOVEMBER 2018.  You are free to drop in to visit the school in action on the morning, anytime between 9.30 - 11.30am

In addition, please download and  complete the Supplementary Information Form, below, which must be sent to

St Aelred's RC Primary School.


Consultation on Admissions Arrangements for Entry in 2020/21


This year's Admissions Consultation was jointly held by all admissions authorities in the City of York between 08 October and 07 December 2018. The consultation included the admissions policies and planned number of places available at each school in the year(s) of entry. The views of parent/carers, schools and other interested parties were being sought during this consultation.


The closing date for comments was 07 December 2018. After considering any comments received, the governing body will, in its role as an admission authority, then formally set (‘determine’) these arrangements. This will happen by no later than 28 February 2019.


All documents below are in their draft (pre-determined) form.  St Aelred's RC VA Primary School's draft policy for 2020/21 and Supplementary Information Form are available to view below.  The planned number of places (PAN) for Reception in September 2020 is 30 pupils.  30 pupils is the PAN for all our year groups from Reception to Year 6.
