Early Years Teacher 

Post: Early Years Teacher - Nursery

 

Salary: Teachers' main scale 1-6 £23,720 - £35,008 per annum, reduced pro rata

 

Contract: Permanent

 

Part time: 18 hours per week; mornings only -  Monday to Friday

 

The Governing Body of St Aelred’s RC Primary School is seeking an inspirational and creative Early Years teacher for our in-school Nursery.  The successful candidate would join our EYFS team: our Reception and Nursery provision sharing a wonderful, large and flexibly used indoor and outdoor space. 

 

We are looking to appoint a teacher who:

  • has a strong understanding of high quality, Early Years provision and wishes to develop the highest quality practice;
  • is highly motivated and creative;
  • has a love of learning and high aspiration for pupils’ learning;  
  • is inclusive and works hard to secure strong outcomes for all pupils;
  • has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • has a consistent, positive and calm approach to ensuring pupils meet high expectations of good behaviour;
  • is committed to children’s wellbeing and safeguarding;
  • is a practising Catholic or committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of our school;
  • works collaboratively and contributes to continual development and improvement of practice within school;
  • is approachable and committed to working in partnership with parents.

St Aelred’s RC Primary School is in the process of converting to an become a voluntary academy and will join the St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Academy Trust; the planned conversion date is 1 September 2019

After School Club Assistant

Salary: Grade 3 Level 1-4 (£17,775 to £17,992 per annum) reduced pro-rata

 

Contract: Permanent

 

Part time: 5 hours per week - Tuesday and Thursday - 3.15pm - 5.45pm

 

The Governors of St Aelred’s RC Primary School wish to recruit an After-School Club Assistant to work in our on-site after-school provision. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic; show kindness and care to pupils; foster good behaviour; support and encourage children in their play and help them to be active and engaged; contribute to a positive climate; work collaboratively with our After-School Club Leader; and support positive relationships with parents and carers
